Mapping Can Be Shallow If Unfelt
An abstract ink piece with ink pen detail. I have recently been thinking about the similarities between our oceans and the human consciousness. So much of the ocean is unknown, and the deeper down we go the more weird and wonderful the life we discover living down there. The more I reflect on my mind the more I realise how strong the pull of the unconscious mind has been, even when I felt like I was consciously controlling everything. This series of work was an attempt to find peace with the unknown and murky depths on my own mind.
