Ponder A Moment

This painting is one of a small series based around the theme of ‘Fleeting Moments’ which relates to the transitory experience of living and creating during the pandemic and of trying to make sense of ‘this moment in time’.

With its hard edges, lines and self-contained shapes it reflects how it has felt to be enclosed within our worlds as we stayed home during various lockdowns. Everything is connected especially the emotional relationship between a person and their sense of place – their home! As I created this painting I found myself considering the meaning of home, the importance of social interactions and the impact of restrictions on many people around the world.
