Pink Moon over the Pentlands
One evening in June 2023, I had been outside in my garden in Dunfermline, admiring the evening sky when I noticed the moon was a beautiful shade of pink, it was a Strawberry Moon. I thought I’ve got to capture this, and this was the starting point of my Lunar Love series of prints. Chine-colle is used to give a luminescent quality to the variety of moons featured in these etched prints. When it is a full moon, I enjoy the calming influence of this lone celestial orb and I try to recreate the same calmness through the colour palette of my work.
