Dreams
Triptych of analogue photos, three frozen moments from early morning walks in a Winter Lockdown, while everyone else was dreaming.
During these disoriented blue hours, every path and gate led to nowhere and everywhere. The shared silence at times felt peaceful, and at others like being trapped under a falling sky.
One morning I found the words of a poem, torn and obscured by the elements. I gave it one last moment of meaning, pinning it back in place for this photo, before it blew away again, leaving the world once more serene, surreal, lonely and cold.
Reflecting on these 35mm memories earlier this year, I responded with the Scots language poetry seen painted in blue, reframing them as a liminal dream sequence - much like the period in which they were photographed.

Each frame is 50x40cm, with total width of 140cm allowing for 10cm spacing between each.
