Flourish
‘Flourish’ came to be after I had worked on an expressive florals collection in 2023. I wanted to achieve something that channelled my background in Textiles and therefore, more pattern like. The inspiration behind it is on the importance of nature and the positivity we gain from being in amongst it. I chose a likeable colour palette and just kept building layers to capture the fullness and depth of plants in the wild. This painting isn’t meant to challenge the viewer, more to simply bring happiness. It is relaxing to look at because of the scale and lack of a main focal point. The eyes just gaze over and enjoy the bursts of colour and loose painterly style.
