Since the weather had given us a bit of sunshine I spent some time outside sketching and taking photographs. This mother and son were walking in the city centre and immediately caught my attention. I was so happy to be able to transfer the sketches into an oil painting that is descriptive without being detailed focused, and conveys the mood of the day.
