The Fountain

This artwork is painted in a batik technique. I used pastel colors during the process of painting to capture the fluidity and playfulness of the water, also appropriate paint brushes for gentle, smooth strokes. The details emphasize the flow and reflection of the water, which create forms of strange undiscovered creatures that are telling a myths and legends about a small picturesque village . The
fountain was located in the little square near the church in Gau-Algesheim, Germany. My intention was to join both expressions and symbolism into my artwork. A fountain symbolizes life, purification, renewal, spiritual nourishment.
