Lost and Found
In this piece, I was keen to experiment with the elements of fire and water. I used monoprinting with water and acrylics to create the initial marks on the paper. I burnt some sections of paper and the artwork to represent fire. This piece is about finding comfort in another person and the intensity of love as depicted by the embrace. This artwork began as a blind drawing which allows me to be more open and responsive as a starting point. The detail is added using fine line pen. This is quite a small artwork but I hope that it has impact with its message. I'm keen as an artist to explore the most important and fundamental aspects of being human.
