We used this raw canvas as a drop cloth to protect the pristine Scottish landscapes from acrylics. It is an imprint of our journey through Scotland, entirely accidental and containing a bit of each painting I made on this trip. It traces our route and creates a sort of map. I leave it to each viewer to interpret what world—imaginary or real—this map describes.
