Originally, this painting was made such that the water drips were vertical. It wasn't supposed to be an eye. But then the paint dripped. I'd decided to make a painting that day because I was woozy from sedative drugs administered before having an MRI - I'm uncomfortable in the confined space. It was only later I realised, when turned on its side, this painting looks exactly like an eye which is watering - exactly as mine had been doing earlier that day in the MRI machine!
