"I'm being held up by invisible men"
This painting explores my observations of parenthood.
I’ve watched friends disappear into motherhood as identity, while fathers are asked if they are “babysitting” – placing them on a pedestal but diminishing their role. The title is a song lyric with the idea of “invisible men” as patriarchal norms.
