This is a mixed media painting. I am primarily a tapestry artist. I paint my paintings as a design for my weaving and I zoom into my painting to create a design. This painting is about all the paths and shapes in a landscape. The scoring relates to the scoring I see in the sandstone around me in Dumfries and Galloway this is the stonemasons mark and the lines are reminiscent of the lines on my loom. It all comes together to create a story.
