Dawn Walk from Aberlady to Longniddry Bents

This is one of my favourite places to walk and think and paint. It’s never the same but it’s always a peaceful experience on this stretch of the East Lothian coast. Emerging from the tunnel of thorny shrubs this scene just grabbed my attention and stopped me in my tracks. There are times when all you can do is drop and draw - thank goodness for the sketchbook and pastels in the backpack. This was created in the studio from the field study.
