Looking for the Ferry, South Uist
Listening to the local residents voicing their concerns and frustration about so many cancelled ferries causing tourism to drop substantially prompted this piece. I might well have painted it in any event to try to capture the tranquility of the atmosphere on South Uist as I looked across the Hebridean water and watched the seagulls dance across a perfect sky. There were no ferries to be seen all day.
