An unusually large and towering cloud formation above the Forth Bridge was irresistible as it seemed more solid than the girders of the bridge as they shimmered in the sunshine at South Queensferry. I was close to Hawes Pier and the ephemeral dance of light in the water against the gleaming yellow and umber of the rocks made this a must. Even the breeze was gentle. It was a day to remember.
