I started this design by sketching out the broad outlines of what I wanted. Most of the designs are stylised flowers or foliage. I love poppies, cornflowers and wisteria, but some other patterns are fairly random. It took many weeks to complete, but the creation of it was great fun. And embroidery and beadwork are so much less messy than painting!
