Vibrant abstract landscape. Executed on stretched canvas with acrylic paint. Glowing, jewel like colours give this work an other worldly feel. My approach is to use colour and texture to create a distillation of the elements of a landscape in an expressive way. I often use palette knives and spatulas instead of brushes. The patterns and shapes of fields and hills, the interplay of light and shade and the marks made by man and machinery on the land are my inspiration.
