The Folly of War
What do you do when your existence becomes the center of a culture war? Well, it certainly doesn't help that we hand miniature instruments of war to our children, valorizing war in dramatic compositions, coloring the conflict as honorable. These photographs were taken with antique civil war toy soldiers, now playing at a different sort of war as a doe watches on. After all, it is not the transgender children and their parents or gender clinic doctors looming large in our current culture war; it's the fear mongering political pundits, certain children's authors, and non-athletes.
