Statement
Since an early age I have been obsessing over the interaction of light and matter... The play of colours on an oily street puddle, the mesmerising dance of light and shadow through flowing water. It represents an ephemeral, fleeting glimpse into the staggering complexity of the physical universe, one which we often take for granted. This collection of images represent an exploration of those interactions, using 3D rendering. The simulation of light transport through transparent medium, an obsession of Isaac Newton, is a process one can have god-like interaction with in the computer. It provides a 'physics rabbit hole' from which there is limitless space to play. Many of these explorations took many days to calculate.
