Statement
As a mixed media landscape and portrait artist, I explore the relationship between nature and the man-made world. I enjoy the challenge of looking at the landscape and seeing beauty in the things that others may not notice; the dew drops on a spider’s web, the rust on an old fence, discarded toys and lost objects.
My creative process is heavily influenced by my background in graphic design and my love of nature. I see my work as a way to bring a piece of the natural world into a man-made space and to encourage others to think about the environment and their surroundings. Through my work, I hope to inspire others to think more deeply about their relationship with nature and see beauty in what may be perceived as the mundane.
