Statement
My family as well as my own image are continuous references within my art. Through my bond with each of them, I explore ideas such as depression, anxiety and loss. With a combination of mark making and more defined features, I expose the emotional connection I feel. My work is abstraction rather than a true likeness. As light travels into dark , the figure is never truly revealed but instead left as a half formed spectre
