Statement
I'm an amateur artist, staying in Fairlie. I've been painting and drawing for 12 years. Sold a small painting at the Barony Centre last summer and I'm keen to try once more. I'm hoping to get the chance to exhibit again at The Big Art Show. I'm a former principal teacher, now in retirement, whose former passions included mountaineering, sailing and now cycling and art. I'm married with two grown up children and one grandchild. I mostly paint in oils now but I have also used, acrylics, pencil and pastels. I'm enjoying using thick paint at the moment to render some animal portraits.
