Statement
I started painting a little over two years ago. I had been a closeted creative during my 20 year military career, but decided to go buck wild after retirement. I had two years of artist’s block after moving from New Orleans to Portugal. I randomly signed up for an art retreat in France that happened to be run and filled with a bunch of Glaswegian artists and the rest is history. I moved to Glasgow two months after the retreat and have been painting like a fiend ever since.
My submissions for this show are based on people I worked with in New Orleans.
