Moira Ferguson

Statement

I have a broad range of experience in working with clay. Currently, as well as producing functional and decorative garden pots, I enjoy making individual sculptural forms.

Using hand-building techniques I enjoy interpreting human and animal forms, as well as building often large vessels for outdoor display. The animal and chicken sculptures chosen for this exhibition are all hand built and ideal for either indoor or outdoor display,

I am a member of and exhibit with the Scottish Potters Association, the Glasgow Society of Women Artists, Paisley Art Institute and the Cowal Open Studios. I also exhibit annually in the summer Art Trail at Taynish Nature Reserve, Argyll, one of Scotland’s National Nature Reserves and have exhibited in several sculpture parks and gardens around the UK.
