Statement
Hannah Evans - I am a 17 year old, neurodiverse, visually impaired artist. I find it hard to communicate through language so use art and colour to express myself. I produce art though my own unique experimentation and style inspired by artists including Sir Anish Kapoor, Carla Black, Vincent Van Gogh, Bernat Klein, Jackson Pollock and many others. I see their work, study, learn then create my own work inspired by their techniques, plus science, space and experimentation. I further develop and experiment with additional media, ideas and new art techniques. As a result of my visual impairment, I think I see colour differently. I am the youngest ever Professional Member of the Scottish Artist Union, was awarded West Lothian 2022, best overall achievement in Art and have featured in 3 editions of Bulb Art and Science Magazine. I have had 4 large solo exhibitions since 2022 and my first selling exhibition in Cass Art Glasgow in February 2024 was featured in a full page Sunday post article, I was interviewed on radio about my exhibition and my exhibition was covered by several other newspapers. I sold over 27 artworks. Please enjoy my art.
