Peter McCormack

Peter McCormack is influenced by Marcel Duchamp, Kurt Schwitters, Joseph Cornell, and the Surrealists (Giorgio de Chirico, Dorothea Tanning, Leonora Carrington).  2024 is the centenary of Surrealism, existence is as unpredictable and illogical now as it was then.  He is a fan of mail art (also known as postal or correspondence art - sending fun/political/protest/strange stuff through the post. (It is becoming a dying art... a sign of the times).  He believes that the world just oozes art these days, and that's fine because you can never have too much art, and, after all, it's always better to make art instead of war.
